RESTORATIVE CARE
Relieve the pain. Save your tooth.
A root canal sounds scary, but it is the treatment that gets you out of pain and saves your tooth. The sooner you call, the more comfortable it is.
GET OUT OF PAIN
Rescue dentistry for a tooth that has been through a lot.
Root canal therapy relieves severe pain, stops infection, and saves a tooth that would otherwise need to be removed. We work to make the whole process as comfortable and pain-free as possible.
The longer you wait, the worse symptoms get and the trickier treatment becomes. Our biggest tip: do not wait. Have the tooth looked at as soon as symptoms appear and let us help you get out of pain.
WATCH FOR THESE
Signs you may need a root canal.
If any of these sound familiar, call us. Early treatment is more comfortable and gives your tooth the best chance.
Persistent, throbbing toothache
Sensitivity to hot or cold that lingers
Swollen or tender gums near a tooth
Tooth discolouration
An abscess or pimple on the gum
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your root canal, step by step.
01
Examination
We take radiographic images, test the tooth, and create a clear diagnosis and treatment plan so you know exactly what is going on.
02
Cleaning & Shaping
The tooth is fully numbed. We remove decay, open the pulp space, and use fine instruments to precisely disinfect the tooth and clear out bacteria.
03
Filling & Sealing
The roots are filled with a sealing material called gutta percha, a plant-based rubber. A filling then seals the tooth so bacteria cannot get back in.
04
Crown
A treated tooth is usually left fragile by the large filling, so we recommend a full-coverage crown to give it the long-term strength it needs.
